Capote Scorch (Thumb Tremor Burn)

A great generalist {Loading...} unit. Has {Loading...} for potency stacking and an SP support passive. Kill this guy if you need the slot.

{Loading...} potency merchant. Not necessary to keep alive unless you really want to use {Loading...}.

The only source of Gluttony for {Loading...}. Start with her but you can just straight up kill her at any point after turn 1. She has a great support passive too.

{Loading...} potency DEMON and deals a lot of raw damage, but eats a lot of count. Generates Pride and Wrath for comfortable {Loading...}.

Core of the team due to {Loading...} conversions and accessible {Loading...} bursts, along with {Loading...}.

Designated sacrifice for Ryōshū. You can opt for {Loading...}, but don't deploy him he's only there for the support passive.

Designated sacrifice for Ryōshū because of his Saikai effect and support passive. Quite good as a core team member otherwise.

Designated sacrifice for Ryōshū. She's a pretty important sacrifice since her death converts Ryōshū's s2 to 6 {Loading...}. Can use {Loading...} for a better {Loading...} focus.

Core of the team due to {Loading...} conversions and accessible {Loading...}bursts. Plus, fantastic EGO options and gloom generation.

Core of the team due to {Loading...} conversions and accessible {Loading...} bursts. Also can support Meursault's {Loading...} ammo.

{Loading...} count merchant with decently accessible {Loading...} bursts and {Loading...} for wrath resistant enemies.

Wrathful force of nature. Great for {Loading...} potency and especially count, which can become an issue due to how Ryōshū works.

The main idea of this team setup is to ramp the damage of Tremor - Scorch as fast as possible by stacking a bunch of burn potency and then using [Meursault] Capote for your ids that Tremor Burst to cash in. EGO other than [Meursault] Capote aren't entirely necessary but they can help with setting up or cashing in on your setup (see [Yi Sang] 4th Match Flame and [Ryōshū] 4th Match Flame). You can supplement Burn Burn infliction with Tremor Tremor and vice versa. So long as you're Tremor Burst bursting often while you have a decent stack going, then you're doing stuff right.

Initial setup just involves using Ryōshū's "Phantom Step [殘像步]" on the first two turns to sacrifice Hong Lu, Ishmael, and Heathcliff. Then you can pop [Ryōshū] 4th Match Flame and/or [Yi Sang] 4th Match Flame for faster Burn Burn potency stacking. Then, at roughly 60-70 Burn Burn potency, pop [Meursault] Capote to get a proper stack. Early in the fight, make sure a weak skill goes unopposed against Rodion and try not to Amplitude Conversion convert to Tremor - Scorch as it'll make your bursts start consuming Burn Burn count. Plus, you'll want to start doing Wrath res for [Heathcliff] The House of Spiders: The Thumb Apprentice's passive. This team as it's setup right now is pretty complicated in execution so you can opt for a simpler one that lets you field Heathcliff. ↓

Personally, I don't like this because his death gives a helluva lot of status utility, but it's really up to you. He is relatively Burn Burn count positive before you've Amplitude Conversion converted to Tremor - Scorch Scorch and he has a higher focus on skill damage so he's better at taking advantage of EGO like [Rodion] 4th Match Flame for Wrath Fragility or [Heathcliff] Asymmetrical Inertia. With that being said, This strategy is much better on a team that does not use [Ryōshū] Blade of the House of Spiders. Replace Ryōshū for [Ryōshū] Lobotomy E.G.O:: Faint Aroma & Solitude, Ishmael for [Ishmael] Jeong's Office Rep, and Hong Lu for [Hong Lu] Liu Assoc. South Section 5 in case you do want to do this. This team is very simple so you can just field all the Thumbs plus the two premiere Tremor Tremor units and [Gregor] Firefist Office Survivor and be golden for the most part. Just make sure you don't deploy Hong Lu because he's only present for the support passive.

Also good for reflectrial because the original strat assumes you're going to 99 potency/count.

With [Ryōshū] Blade of the House of Spiders, it's very easy to eliminate your Burn Burn stack; [Gregor] Firefist Office Survivor and [Faust] LCE E.G.O:: Ardor Blossom Star are barely enough to maintain a stack comfortably. Thankfully, you have a 2-turn grace period of dodging and murking your HoS units so you can get started on your Burn Burn stack. I recommend you get familiar with which skills from the Thumbs are Burn Burn count positive because Gregor alone sometimes isn't able to keep up with Ryōshū's Burn Burn activations. These skills are:

[Meursault] The Thumb East Capo IIII S2 Triple Slash - Blast [爆] > +2 raw, +1 with Tremor - Scorch
[Sinclair] The Thumb East Soldato II S2 Respect the Thumb. > +0 raw, +1 with Tremor - Scorch
[Rodion] The House of Spiders: The Thumb Nursefather S1 Colpi di Taglio > +1 raw, +1 add with Shin (心) - Disgrace
[Rodion] The House of Spiders: The Thumb Nursefather S1-2 Sezionatura di Coniglio > +1 raw, +0 with Tremor - Scorch, +1 add with Shin (心) - Disgrace

There are also various ways to increase these count values like [Meursault] The Thumb East Capo IIII's passive, [Heathcliff] The House of Spiders: The Thumb Apprentice's support passive, or [Hong Lu] Liu Assoc. South Section 5's support passive.

There are some alternative IDs that are still viable but didn't choose for this build. They are:

[Yi Sang] Molar Office Fixer: Ok if you're strapped for IDs and can give up some Burn
[Faust] Lobotomy E.G.O::Regret: Triple burst is really good for Tremor in general, but you might need Burn count to compensate.
[Ryōshū] Lobotomy E.G.O:: Faint Aroma & Solitude: Amazing Tremor ID not included due to [Ryōshū] Blade of the House of Spiders. Gives amazing Tremor count and bursts pretty frequently.
[Ryōshū] District 20 Yurodivy: Gives Gluttony but you lose Gloom and Envy resources (and is just a worse tremor id)
[Ryōshū] Liu Assoc. South Section 4: Same tradeoff as above, but also loses Tremor Burst for Burn.
[Meursault] Lobotomy E.G.O:: Hornet 【Alteration】: Because of how Burn count negative [Ryōshū] Blade of the House of Spiders is, running this guy over [Meursault] The Thumb East Capo IIII is probably ok.
However, I suggest running heavy Tremor Burst IDs to compensate, like [Ishmael] Jeong's Office Rep, [Rodion] Rosespanner Workshop Rep, or even [Faust] Lobotomy E.G.O::Regret
[Ishmael] Jeong's Office Rep: Fantastic Tremor ID not included only because of [Ishmael] The House of Spiders: The Middle Apprentice's utility to Ryōshū.
Gives great Tremor count and bursts often.
[Ishmael] Zwei Assoc. West Section 3: Gives Gluttony, Envy, and Tremor potency support, but she eats Tremor and Burn count like nobody's business
[Ishmael] LCCB Assistant Manager: Gives a LOT of Tremor potency and count and gives Gluttony and Gloom. However, she's very weak in combat.
She will make up for not having [Meursault] Capote, but she's worse at taking advantage of [Ishmael] Christmas Nightmare or supporting [Ryōshū] Blade of the House of Spiders.
[Rodion] Rosespanner Workshop Rep: Tremor Burst merchant and better in strategies that aren't so count-dependent such as this one.
[Rodion] T Corp. Class 2 Collection Staff: Fantastic Tremor count support unit with access to Time Moratorium.
[Outis] Molar Office Fixer: A good sidegrade to [Outis] T Corp. Class 3 VDCU Staff, giving overall more Tremor Burst in exchange for count and Time Moratorium.
