Greetings, managers. This guide is an overview compiled by Faust on how to play
Rupture.
Rupture is a team notorious for making the game infinitely worse. Since the introduction of [Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept, a considerable number of boss enemies have gained certain mechanics in order to halt specifically [Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept. The Index Nursefather and the boss of Twining Threads purge all debuffs on phase change, the boss of Spring Cultivation takes less damage from Sinners, and most of the other Nursefathers present in Canto 9 have mechanics to ruin [Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept's attempts to cycle the enemy and win by turn 3. Their method of doing so is by simply not allowing her to be selected for the fight (as only select Sinners are available for every Nursefather, other than Rien, and even on the one where you may use Faust, you have an assist unit who has a penchant for ruining the
Rupture stack) and not allowing her to be used in the first place. Enemies also inflict
Bind, more often than not, because of her.
This is because [Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept is, pound for pound, the best unit in the game, bar none. Her capabilities as a unit on the field are outstanding, and if you are reading this guide, Faust believes that is all that must be said, for this is understood implicitly.
Faust will now proceed to discuss the Identities present on the team. This team is the most consistent way to create a potent
Rupture stack. The E.G.O are largely not useful, but the ones that are will be mentioned later.
[Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept is the closest thing to a perfect Limbus Company unit. An identity with an almost perfect E.G.O spread, high clashing, SP acceleration (through the form of being able to clash multiple skills with assist defense), the ability to erase the bad skills off of her dashboard, the most plus on count Identity
Rupture has, and the single reason why every
Rupture Identity after Canto 8 Part 2 was solely negative on
Rupture Count. Due to [Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept's sheer prowess, the entire team revolves around her. You only use six slots on this team because there aren't any units in the game better than a second slot for [Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept.
One unique interaction between Faust and her team is her ability to interact with [Hong Lu] Tears of the Tarnished Blood [汚血泣淚]'s awakening. Using the Awakening allows Faust to guard Hong Lu from oncoming attacks that he may redirect with the skill, as the Awakening is unclashable.
[Ryōshū] Drifting Blade of Hongyuan is an inoffensive Identity that does her job of maintaining the stack. Unlike every other Identity on this team, she doesn't have a way to guarantee a Gluttony skill, but that is fine, because the team has been constructed that it will always be able to procure 5 Gluttony turn 1, which it must do to function as efficiently as possible. She can also kill [Yi Sang] LCE E.G.O:: Lantern with a Superbia Corrosion [Ryōshū] Thoracalgia, as he is weak to Slash and Pride.
[Outis] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch is an inoffensive Identity that does her job of maintaining the stack. She applies
Deathrite【Haste】 with her S3, like all Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Identities, and allows for a high-clashing AOE skill with [Outis] Ebony Stem that also makes her much better at maintaining the stack post-activation. A useful Superbia option.
[Hong Lu] The Lord of Hongyuan is the worst Identity on this team, but he is the best possible last slot. His S1 is count neutral, his S2 is count negative, and his S3 is count negative but is good for setting up and burst turns. He has synergy with [Ryōshū] Drifting Blade of Hongyuan that comes up exceptionally rarely. If the fight goes on long, he can activate [Hong Lu] Tears of the Tarnished Blood [汚血泣淚] for extra damage.
[Yi Sang] LCE E.G.O:: Lantern is here to die as fast as possible. When he dies, he gives a total of 10
Rupture Potency and 3 Count to the enemy that killed him, and provides 2 E.G.O resources of the four least owned resources. [Don Quixote] Lobotomy E.G.O::Lantern is most likely the slowest Identity on the team, which means she is a perfect user of those received resources for [Don Quixote] Yearning-Mircalla to be the last thing done on a given burst turn that sets up afterwards. Equip Bygone Days to make him weak to Pride by default.
[Don Quixote] Lobotomy E.G.O::Lantern is an inoffensive Identity that does her job of maintaining the stack. Red Sheet Don Quixote is a good E.G.O for fights with multiple enemies that need to have high
Rupture on them so that you may clash them easily.
Your turn one setup is to get 5 Gluttony. Your turn two setup is to press Defense or S3 with [Faust] Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept and have [Yi Sang] LCE E.G.O:: Lantern die. Your turn three setup (and all turns afterwards, for that matter) is to kill them with a burst turn.
